Finished my last day at the cafe. I am officially unemployed.

I miss not seeing these idiots every day. Gonna miss them even more when I’ve moved to the other side of the country…

Spent most of the night insulting sungodssunhands but I just booked us a weekend away in Brighton (heck yeah) near Christmas, so he can’t complain.
Also it serves him right for getting a selfie with Dan Croll the other night.

The Breakfast Club (1985) dir. John Hughes

Saturday, March 24, 1984. Shermer High School, Shermer, Illinois, 60062.

Dear Mr. Vernon,

We accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a whole Saturday in detention for whatever it was we did wrong. What we did was wrong. But we think you’re crazy to make us write an essay telling you who we think we are. What do you care? You see us as you want to see us — in the simplest terms, in the most convenient definitions. You see us as a brain, an athlete, a basket case, a princess and a criminal. Correct? That’s the way we saw each other at 7:00 this morning. We were brainwashed.

The Hours (2002) dir. by Stephen Daldry: Nicole Kidman (with the word “Oscar” stamped on her forehead) delivers a performance of a lifetime playing a rather difficult role while disguising everything that is usually so associated with her. With a fake nose, a cold, dark and distant attitude and above all a rough change to her voice, Kidman portrays Mrs. Woolf exactly as the writers wanted us to grasp her and manages to be the most outstanding of the three despite getting the least screen time. Absolutely amazing.”

So it turns out my favourite #NickMulvey song is heavily based on a poem by D. H. Lawrence. This is rather beautiful. #Cucurucu #Poetry

Sat in bed listening to Dan Croll, trying to lull myself to sleep whist sungodssunhands is sat in Rescue Rooms with the guy himself, after he just played a gig there that we said we’d go to.
Yup. This jealousy is really helping me sleep. Cheers bud.

I LOVE YOU TOO MY LITTLE RAY OF SUNSHINE

Started learning Eva Cassidy’s version of ‘Kathy’s Song’ originally by Simon and Garfunkel. It’s such a nice song to play, I’m slightly in love…
